These Grilled Skewered Scallops are a delightful and elegant seafood dish that's perfect for a special occasion or a quick and delicious meal.
Directions
In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
Thread the scallops onto the soaked wooden skewers, leaving a little space between each scallop.
Brush the scallops with the marinade, making sure they are well coated.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Oil the grates to prevent sticking.
Place the skewered scallops on the preheated grill.
Grill for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the scallops are opaque and have nice grill marks. Be careful not to overcook them, as scallops can become tough if overcooked.
Once done, transfer the grilled scallops to a serving platter.
Note
Grilled Skewered Scallops
Scallops cook quickly, so keep a close eye on them to prevent overcooking. They should be tender and just cooked through.
