Directions


  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Wash and scrub the sweet potato thoroughly.

  3. Use a fork to poke several holes all over the sweet potato.

  4. Place the sweet potato on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-60 minutes, or until the sweet potato is tender and can be easily pierced with a fork.

  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.

  7. Cut a slit lengthwise in the sweet potato and gently press the ends to open it up.

  8. Add a small pat of butter into the center of the sweet potato, allowing it to melt.

  9. Season with a pinch of salt and a sprinkle of cinnamon (optional).
